CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY
At Integrative Endodontics of Palm Beach, we combine state-of-the-art technology with an integrative approach. Our commitment to using only the most advanced therapies, including ozone therapy, ultrasonic irrigation, dietary recommendations, and health supplementation, ensures that our patients experience a reduction in potential side effects and faster healing. No mercury or fluoride products are used in our office.
3-D CBCT
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is the gold standard of imaging technology for endodontics, providing accurate and high-quality 3-D representations of the teeth, jaws, and surrounding tissues. The result is more effective care and improved patient outcomes.
During a CBCT scan, the machine rotates around the patient for just a few moments, capturing images using a cone-shaped X-ray beam. These images are then used to construct a digital 3-D representation of the patient's teeth, mouth, jaw, and other areas of the face and head.
CBCT imaging technology is much better at diagnosing fractures in teeth and at providing a detailed view of a tooth’s internal structure. Unlike regular X-rays, CBCT scans are able to differentiate between bone, teeth, airway, paranasal sinuses, and sometimes soft tissue.
MICROSCOPIC ENDODONTICS
Endodontists undergo intensive training in the use of microscopes for root canal treatment. Advances in state-of-the-art surgical operating microscopes have enabled endodontists to use techniques to safely and effectively save natural teeth in situations that used to require removal and placement of artificial implants.
The use of a microscope allows your endodontist to see the inside of the tooth in much more detail, allowing for clearer visualization in locating all the canals of the root canal system. It also allows for smaller access openings in crowns and restorations and the removal of less tooth structure, which results in better long-term outcomes.
OZONE THERAPY
Ozone is best described as supercharged oxygen. It is a natural oxidant, to which bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites are highly susceptible. Healthy cells, however, have antioxidant enzymes in their cell membranes and are unharmed by therapeutic levels of ozone.
Canals are irrigated with ozonated water to thoroughly clear the canal and remove debris. Canals are then exposed to ozone gas to ensure no bacteria survive anywhere in the tooth structure.
SONIC & ULTRA-SONIC IRRIGATION
Sonic and ultrasonic irrigation is like a gentle pressure wash for your tooth. These waves clean and allow access to all the intricate pathways through the roots that conventional treatment cannot match.
